3-2 Control Solenoid

3 - 2 Shift Solenoid:

This electrical device is used to control fluid flow acting on the 3 - 2 shift valve, which then controls the 2 - 4 band apply rate and 3 - 4 clutch release rate. It is a pulse width modulated solenoid that operates on a negative duty cycle. This solenoid controls the 3 - 2 downshift feel and is attached to the control valve body within the transmission.
