Power Locks: Description and Operation

Battery voltage from I/P Fuse #39 is applied at all times to the Door Lock Relay through CKT 1740. Battery voltage from I/P Fuse #35 is applied at all times to the Door Lock Switches through CKT 2040. The Door Lock Relay is permanently grounded at G201.

When either Door Lock Switch is pushed to the "LOCK" position, battery voltage is applied to the Door Lock Relay through CKT 195. This energizes the relay, which then applies battery voltage from I/P Fuse #39 to the Door Lock Actuators and the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 295. Ground is provided to the Door Lock Actuators and the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 294 and the Door Lock Relay. The Door Lock Actuators will lock the Endgate and doors.

When either Door Lock Switch is pushed to the "UNLOCK" position, battery voltage is applied to the Door Lock Relay through CKT 194. This energizes the relay, which then applies battery voltage from I/P Fuse #39 to the Door Lock Actuators and the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 294. Ground is provided to the Door Lock Actuators and the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 295 and the Door Lock Relay. The Door Lock Actuators will rotate in the opposite direction and unlock the Endgate and doors.
