Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Air Induction Components:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Outside bolts from the air cleaner assembly.
2. Clamp from the inter air intake duct.
3. Inter air intake duct.
4. Air cleaner assembly from the upper radiator support.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

NOTE: Before installing the air cleaner assembly, be sure the radiator air deflector is in position. Improper installation may allow water intrusion which could damage the engine.

1. Position the air cleaner assembly to the upper radiator support.
2. (2) Outside bolts to the air cleaner assembly.

Tighten
Bolts to 1.15 Nm (10 lb. in).

3. Clamp and position the inter air intake duct to air cleaner assembly.

NOTE: For proper sealing, the clamp tension adjustment screw is located on the side of the duct for optimum clamp force.

Tighten
Clamp to 4.4 Nm (39 lb. in).
