Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Dielectric Grease Application:

Ignition Control Module:

Before removing ignition module, identify the ignition module, then refer to the instruction sheet packaged with the replacement.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Intake plenum.
3. Electrical connectors.
4. Retaining bolts (4).
5. Ignition module.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Dielectric grease to back of ignition module.
2. Ignition module.
3. Retaining bolts.

Tighten
Bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).

4. Electrical connectors nearest front of engine to ignition module.

5. Intake plenum.
6. Negative battery cable bolt.

Tighten
Battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (9 lb. ft.).
