SUBJECT:
PRODUCT CAMPAIGN 95-C-08 - IMPROPERLY STAMPED SECOND CLUTCH REACTION (STEEL) PLATES

Model/Year:
1995 CORSICA/BERETTA, LUMINA, MONTE CARLO & LUMINA MINIVAN

To: All Chevrolet/Geo Dealers

General Motors has determined that certain 1995 Chevrolet models with the Hydra-Matic 4T60-E transaxle may have been built with second clutch reaction (steel) plates improperly manufactured. This condition could result in premature wear of the second clutch assembly at low mileage and may cause the transaxle to lose second gear and eventually become inoperative.

To prevent this condition from occurring, dealers are to replace the suspect transaxle with a new transaxle.
