Wheel Nut Covers - Decorative Caps Fall Off Plastic

Decorative Caps Fall Off Plastic Wheel Nut Covers (Replace Wheel Nut Cover Assembly)

Models:
1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Lumina

Condition

Some customers may comment that the stainless steel decorative caps fall off plastic wheel nut covers.

Cause

Insufficient crimp to hold the stainless steel cap on the wheel nut cover.

Correction

It a decorative nut cap(s) separates from the plastic nut cover, a new wheel nut cover assembly, PIN 10227993, should be installed. THE WHEEL COVER DOES NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED. To install a new wheel nut cover, use the following procedure:

a. Remove the wheel cover.

b. Twist the plastic nut to line up tabs and slots and snap the nut out of the wheel cover's back side.

c. Line the tabs on the new nut with the slots in the wheel cover and snap in from the back.

d. Reinstall the wheel cover.
