CONDITION:
Some customers may comment on a click/scrub type noise that is audible during either a right or left hand turning maneuver.
CAUSE:
Wire protector shield of the steering column contacts the yoke of the race and upper shaft assembly resulting in a click/scrub type noise (Reference Figure 1).
CORRECTION:
Replace existing wire protector shield with a new design component, P/N 26047737, following service procedure in applicable Service Manual, Section 3F5A or 3F5B, Tilt Steering Column Unit Repair.
