Rear Compartment Brace Replacement: Removal Procedure:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the bolts attaching the quarter panel to the rear compartment brace.
2. Remove the fuel system vent, (right bracket only).

3. Remove the nuts attaching the rear compartment brace to the floor studs.
4. Remove the brace.

Rear Compartment Brace Replacement: Installation Procedure:

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the brace and attaching nuts to the floor panel studs.

Tighten
Tighten the brace to rear floor nuts to 10 N.m(89 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.

2. Install the fuel system vent, (right bracket only).

3. Install the bolts attaching the quarter panel to the floor brace.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts quarter panel to floor brace bolts 5 N.m (44 lb in).
