Inside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler)
REMOVAL PROCEDUREInside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler): Removal Procedure:
1. Remove the console.
2. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate.
3. Remove the driver knee bolster trim panel.
4. Remove the I/P upper trim pad.
5. Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) to steering column bracket retaining screws.
6. Reposition the IPC to better access the inside air temperature sensor duct.
Inside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler): Removal Procedure:
7. Remove the inside air temperature sensor aspirator duct.
7.1. Depress the duct retaining tab and remove the duct from the ignition switch housing bracket.
7.2. Use a twisting motion to release the duct from the duct muffler.
Inside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler): Removal Procedure:
8. Remove the inside air temperature sensor aspirator duct muffler
Use a twisting motion to release the duct muffler.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Inside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler): Installation Procedure:
1. Install the inside air temperature sensor aspirator duct muffler.
Use a twisting motion to secure the duct muffler.
Inside Air Temperature Sensor Duct Replacement (With Muffler): Installation Procedure:
2. Install the inside air temperature sensor aspirator duct.
2.1. Use a twisting motion to secure the duct to the duct muffler.
2.2. Install the duct retaining tab to the ignition switch housing bracket.
3. Install the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) into position.
4. Install the IPC to steering column bracket bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the IPC to steering column bracket retaining screws to 3.5 Nm (31 lb in).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
5. Install the I/P upper trim pad.
6. Install the driver knee bolster trim panel.
7. Install the I/P accessory trim plate.
Install the console.
