Driveline Support Assembly Assemble
1. Install the rear bearing assembly on the rear propeller shaft coupler.
2. Install the rear bearing bolts.
- Tighten the rear bearing bolts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
3. Install the input shaft on the front propeller shaft coupler.
4. Install the input shaft bolts.
- Tighten the input shaft bolts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the front healing on the input shaft.
6. Install the front bearing retaining clip on the input shaft.
7. Install the propeller shaft assembly in the- rear bell housing.
8. Install the propeller shaft assembly and rear bell housing in the rear of the support tube. Pull on the input shaft to seat the front bearing.
9. Install the rear bearing retaining bolts.
- Tighten the rear bearing retaining bolts to 65 Nm (49 ft. lbs.).
