Weatherstrip Replacement (Windshield): Removal Procedure:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the driver and passenger side doors.
2. Remove the roof lift off panel. Roof Lift Off Panel in Roof.

Weatherstrip Replacement (Windshield): Removal Procedure:

3. Remove the push in retainers from the lower corners of the weatherstrip.
4. Remove the upper LH/RH corner screws from the weatherstrip.

Weatherstrip Replacement (Windshield): Removal Procedure:

5. Peel away the weatherstrip from the windshield retainers.
6. If replacing the weatherstrip with a new weatherstrip, remove the upper retainer screws and retainer from the windshield frame.

Weatherstrip Replacement (Windshield): Installation Procedure:

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Partially peel away the weatherstrip from the new upper retainer in order to expose the center screw hole.
2. Position the weatherstrip on the windshield frame with the retainer center screw hole and the center frame screw hole aligned.
3. Install the windshield weatherstrip upper retainer center screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.

4. Reinstall the weatherstrip to the upper retainer center.
5. Peel away the weatherstrip from the retainer, working from the outer corner inward, in order to expose the remaining screw holes.
6. Install the following screws:
^ The LH outer and middle screw
^ The RH outer and middle screw

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).

7. Insert the weatherstrip into the retainer starting in the center and working outwards.
8. Insert the weatherstrip into the side retainer starting at the top and working downward on the LH and RH sides.
9. Install the top corner LH/RH screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).

10. Install the lower corner LH/RH push in retainers.

11. Install the roof panel. Root Lift Off Panel in Roof.
