Module Programming Procedure
ProgrammingTransmitter Programming:
^ Do the following procedure whenever the Keyless Programming Connector is grounded, the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) is replaced, the Transmitter is replaced or a second Transmitter is added. If there is more than one transmitter to the vehicle, all transmitters have to be programmed. If all transmitters are not programmed, then the transmitters that were not programmed will not function properly.
1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Right side rear compartment trim for access.
3. Using a jumper wire with alligator clips, ground the transmitter program wire terminal. The door locks will lock and unlock, indicating that the receiver is in the program mode.
4. With the system still grounded, program all of the transmitters.
^ Chevrolet - press and hold the "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
^ Oldsmobile - press and hold any button on the transmitter.
- The door locks will lock and unlock, indicating that the transmitter has been programmed.
5. Repeat step 4 for each transmitter to be programmed.
6. Remove jumper wire from the transmitter program wire terminal.
7. Verify operation of the transmitter(s).
