Trunk / Liftgate: Description and Operation

WITHOUT KEYLESS ENTRY
When the vehicle is in the "PARK" position and the Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch (Trunk) is activated, the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator is charged, releasing the Rear Compartment. When the vehicle is in a "NON-PARK" position the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator is inactive and the Rear Compartment cannot be released.

WITH KEYLESS ENTRY
When the vehicle is in "PARK" and the "REAR COMPARTMENT" button on the RKE Transmitter is pressed, the switch in the RCDLR closes, which in turns charges the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator. When the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator is charged the Rear Compartment releases. When the vehicle is in a "NON-PARK" position, the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator is inactive and the Rear Compartment cannot be released.
