Vehicle Damage Warnings
WARNING: The bolts which attach caliper bracket to knuckles must be replaced anytime they become loose or are removed. In this application, tightening or loosening these special bolts which use an encapsulated thread compound, is not recommended. Failure to replace caliper bracket bolts after they have been loosened or removed may result in loosening of caliper to knuckle attachment, causing reduced vehicle braking ability, and may result in personal injury.NOTE: Always use the correct fastener in the proper location. When you replace a fastener, use ONLY the exact part number for that application. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, do not use supplemental coatings (paints, greases, or other corrosion inhibitors) on threaded fasteners or fastener joint interfaces. Generally, such coatings adversely affect the fastener torque and the joint clamping force, and may damage the fastener. When you install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications. Following these instructions can help you avoid damage to parts and systems.
CAUTION: Use only SUPREME 11 or equivalent DOT 3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed container. Do not use fluid from an open container that may be contaminated with water. Improper or contaminated fluid could result in damage to components, or loss of braking, with possible personal injury. Avoid spilling brake fluid on any of the vehicle's painted surfaces, wiring cables or electrical connectors. Brake fluid will damage paint and electrical connections. If any fluid is spilled on the vehicle, flush the area with water to lessen damage.
