Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Front door inside carpet retainers.
3. Sound insulators.
4. Disable SIR system. Refer to "Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System."
5. Windshield side upper garnish moldings.
6. Instrument panel upper trim panel.
7. Instrument panel lower compartment.
8. Passenger side SIR inflator module. Refer to "Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System."
9. Steering column opening filler.
10. Instrument panel cluster trim plate.
11. Front floor console, if equipped.
12. Audio system.
13. Ventilation control.
14. Instrument panel cluster.
15. Headlamp switch.
16. Fuse block.
17. Instrument panel driver knee bolster deflector.
18. Steering column.
19. Bolts/screws from instrument panel carrier mounting.
20. Data link connector.
21. Instrument panel lower compartment lamp.
22. Wiring harness clips from carrier.
23. Reposition instrument panel wiring harness.
24. Instrument panel from vehicle carrier.

Install or Connect

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Instrument panel to vehicle carrier.
2. Route instrument panel wiring harness.
3. Wiring harness clips from carrier.
4. Data link connector.
5. Instrument panel lower compartment lamp.
6. Bolts/screws to instrument panel carrier mounting.

Tighten
^ Bolts/screws to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

7. Steering column.
8. Instrument panel driver knee bolster deflector.
9. Fuse block.
10. Headlamp switch.
11. Instrument panel cluster.
12. Audio system.
13. Ventilation control.
14. Instrument panel cluster trim plate.
15. Front floor console, if equipped.
16. Steering column opening filler.
17. Passenger side SIR inflator module.
18. Instrument panel upper trim panel.
19. Windshield side upper garnish moldings.
20. Enable SIR system.
21. Sound insulators.
22. Front side door inside carpet retainers.
23. Negative battery cable.
