Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

NOTICE: When handling an electronic part that has an ESD-sensitive sticker. Follow these guidelines to reduce any possible build-up of electrostatic charge:
^ Do not open the package until time to install the part.
^ Avoid touching electrical terminals of the part.
^ Before removing the part from its package, ground the package to a known good ground on the vehicle.
^ Always touch a known good ground before handling the part. This should he repeated while handling the part; do it more often after sliding across the seat, sitting down from a standing position, or walking a distance.
