Lamp Short Test

With all the doors closed, Headlamp Switch turned off and Headlamp Switch turned off, disconnect the Door Lock, Door Jamb Switches, Door Handle Switches (as necessary see schematic) and the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) (if equipped) one at a time.
^ If the lamps go out when a particular component is disconnected, replace that component.
^ If the lamps remain lit with all switches disconnected, disconnect the Headlamp Switch. If lamps go out, check CKT 49 for a short to ground. If OK replace Headlamp Switch. If lamps remain lit repair short to ground in CKT 156.
