Theft System Indicator State

The THEFT SYSTEM indicator state indicates whether the Body Function Controller (BFC) has determined if the Passlock data has passed. The BFC then sends the message to turn ON or OFF the THEFT SYSTEM indicator to the Instrument Cluster via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) serial data bus. The THEFT SYSTEM indicator will be ON when any DTC is set or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) VTD Fail-Enable is true in the last vehicle security status message received and the BFC is not in the Auto Learn Mode. The THEFT SYSTEM indicator will flash when the PCM Fuel Disable Time-out bit is set in the last vehicle security status message received since the Ignition Switch was turned ON.
