Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection

Wiper Arm Pressure Check:

1. Run wiper arm assemblies to mid-wipe position.
2. Remove wiper blade assemblies from wiper arm assemblies.
3. Attach a scale (RR) to wiper arm and measure the force required to lift wiper arm assembly perpendicular to windshield to normal working height (height with blade assembly attached).
4. If the force required is not within the specifications given below, the wiper arm assembly should be replaced.
