Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Unsnap the instrument panel accessory trim plate (2).
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the switches (3), if equipped.




3. Remove the radio bracket bolts (2).
4. Slide the radio (1) out from the instrument panel.




5. Disconnect the following components from the radio (1):
^ The antenna cable (2)
^ The I/P wiring harness connector (3)

6. Remove the radio (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the radio (1) to the vehicle.
2. Connect the following components to the radio (1):
^ The antenna cable (2)
^ The I/P wiring harness connector (3)




3. Slide the radio (1) into the instrument panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the radio bracket bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the radio bracket bolts (2) to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).




5. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the switches (3), it equipped.
6. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate (2).
