Disabling the Park Brake Automatic Adjuster

DISABLE PROCEDURE
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly.
3. Disconnect the park brake cable from the park brake lever.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Front floor console. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gages, and Warning Indicators.
6. With the assistance of another technician, pull the disconnected park brake cable downward until it is fully extended and install a rivet, drill bit, zip tie or cotter key through the lined up holes in the park brake lever. Do not overextend the cable.
