Battery Run Down Protection

Inadvertent Power Control output of the Multi-Function Alarm Module applies voltage to the Courtesy, Header, Reading, IP Compartment and Luggage Compartment Lamps. Its output tinier will shut off power to all the above lamps with the Ignition Switch in the OFF position after 18 to 22 minutes. If the vehicle has travelled less than 24 km (15 miles) since battery voltage was applied to the module, the output timer will shut off the lamps after two to four minutes.

The Inadvertent Power Control output can be reset by opening or closing the Left front door, turning the ignition Switch to the RUN position, or checking and shutting off any Interior Lamps that were left on accidentally.
