Child Restraint: Service and Repair

IMPORTANT: When installing a child restraint with a top strap in the rear seat, you must use a special dealer-installed anchor in order to anchor the child seat top strap.

The child seat must be used at the seat position for which the top strap anchor is installed. This placement of the child seat ensures the correct top strap angle.

Ensure that the position of the child seat does not conflict with any additional requirements provided by the manufacturer of the child seat.

1. Select the position in the rear seat where the child restraint system belt kit will be installed. Locate the appropriate existing hole in the rear window panel.
2. Cut a hole in the rear window panel trim.
3. Install the following components of the child restraint system belt kit:
3.1. The bolt
3.2. The bracket
3.3. The sleeve
3.4. The J-nut
