Folding Top Headliner Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Position the folding top with the number one and five bow up.
2. Remove the fasteners attaching the front rail side seals to the number one bow.

3. Remove the seal compression panel.
4. Remove the staples attaching the top cover to the number one bow.
5. Remove the staples attaching the tension cable flaps to the number one bow.
6. Remove the staples attaching the headliner to the number one bow.

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Removal Procedure:

7. Remove the screws attaching the sides of the headliner to the number one bow (1).
8. Remove the speed nuts attaching the headliner to the number one bow mounting nuts.
9. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number two bow.

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Removal Procedure:

10. Position the top in a closed position with the folding top stowage lid open to gain access to the headliner attachments.
11. Remove the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the number five bow.
12. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the rear side rails.
13. Remove the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the rear side rails.

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Removal Procedure:

14. Position the number 5 bow in a up position to gain access to the number 4 bow screws.
15. Remove the screws attaching the rear window support straps from the number four bow.
16. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number four bow.
17. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number three bow.
18. Remove the headliner.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the headliner to the number three bow.

Tighten
Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

2. Install the headliner to the number four bow.

Tighten
Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

3. Install the rear window support straps to the number four bow.

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Installation Procedure:

4. Install the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the rear side rails.

Tighten
Tighten the elastic strap attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Install the screws attaching the headliner to the rear side rails.

Tighten
Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

6. Install the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the number five bow.

Tighten
Tighten the elastic strap screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Installation Procedure:

7. Position the number one bow in the up position.
8. Install the screws attaching the headliner to the number two bow.

Tighten
Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

9. Install the speed nuts attaching the headliner to the number one bow attaching nuts.
10. Install the right and left screw attaching the sides of the headliner to the number one bow.

Tighten
Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Installation Procedure:

11. Staple the headliner to the number one bow (1).
12. Staple the tension cable flaps to the number one bow.
13. Staple the top material to the number one bow.

Folding Top Headliner Replacement: Installation Procedure:

14. Install the seal compression panel to the number one bow.
Tighten
Tighten the seal compression panel screws to 3 N.m (25 lb in).

15. Install the fasteners attaching the front side rail weatherstrips to the number one bow.
16. Close and latch the top.
