Folding Top Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDUREFolding Top Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Remove the seat belt upper guide.
2. Remove the lock pillar upper trim.

3. Position the number one and the number five bows in an up position.
Folding Top Replacement: Removal Procedure:
4. Disconnect the rear defogger electrical connections.
5. Remove the bolts mounting the top to the pillar bracket.
6. Slide the top slightly up and then rearward and out of the pillar bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Folding Top Replacement: Installation Procedure:
1. Position the folded top to the vehicle with the top resting on the pillar bracket pin.
2. Loosely install the bolts attaching the top to the bracket.
3. Insert a tapered pin (scratch awl) through the hole in the top pivot bracket into the alignment hole in the pillar bracket to align the top.
4. Tighten the mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
5. Remove the alignment tool.

6. Close and latch the top.
7. Connect the rear defogger electrical connections.

8. Install the lock pillar trim.
9. Install the seat belt upper guide.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt upper guide nut to 40 N.m (29 lb ft).
