Air/Wind Noise (Repair General Information)

Windnoise repairs are very similar to waterleak repairs. Wind noise at a weatherstrip does not always indicate a faulty weatherstrip. A door or window adjustment may correct the condition.
^ Align body panels, doors, and windows to reduce gaps.
^ Replace torn weatherstrips.
^ Use thumb grade sealer to shim weatherstrips.
^ Repair broken weld joints.
^ Fill in skips in adhesives and sealers. Replace or tighten loose fasteners.
