Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamps

The rear compartment courtesy lamps are used within the courtesy lamp feature. The Body Control Module (BCM) activates the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42 by grounding CKT 690. Battery voltage is then supplied from the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42, through CKT 740 to both of the rear compartment courtesy lamps. When the BCM experiences a courtesy lamp request, it activates the MONITORED LD Micro Relay #43 in the instrument panel electrical center by applying a ground to CKT 690. This causes battery voltage to be applied to CKT 740 and to the rear compartment courtesy lamps. The rear compartment courtesy lamps will then illuminate. The rear compartment courtesy lamps are grounded by CKT 150 through Splice Pack #302 to G302.
