Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
3. Remove the knee bolster.
4. Disconnect the illumination controller electrical connector.
5. Use a pick in order to push up and remove the clip on the bottom of the illumination controller.
6. Remove the illumination controller (9) from the left garnish trim panel (10).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the illumination controller electrical connector.
2. Install the illumination controller (9) to the left garnish trim panel (10). Push in the illumination controller until the clip fully engages.
3. Install the knee bolster.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
