Illumination Lamps
Voltage is applied at all times through the DOME Fuse to the Dome Lamp. The Dome Lamp is grounded through the LH Front Door Jamb Switch. The Door Jamb Switch, when closed (with door open), completes a ground path for the Dome Lamp, when the Dome Lamp Switch is in the DOOR position. With both power and ground applied, the Dome lamp will light. The Dome Lamp will remain lit until the door is closed. The Dome Lamp can also be turned ON with the door closed. This can be accomplished by placing the Dome Lamp Switch in the "ON" position. With the Switch in this position, the ground path is completed through the Dome Lamp case ground (2-Door) or through G202 (4-Door). The Dome Lamp circuit can also be bypassed altogether. This is done by placing the Dome Lamp Switch in the "OFF" position. By doing this, the Dome lamp will not light when the door is opened.Voltage is applied at all times through the DOME Fuse to the Luggage Compartment Lamp (4-Door LSi). The Luggage Compartment Lamp is grounded through the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch. the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch is closed whenever the Deck Lid is opened. With power and ground applied to the Luggage Compartment Lamp, the Lamp will light. The only way the Luggage Compartment lamp can be turned ON and OFF is by opening and closing the Deck Lid.
