Ignition Lock Cylinder

Ignition Cylinder:

The ignition lock cylinder contains the resistor sensing contacts. They are used to read the resistor pellet on the ignition key. When servicing the ignition lock cylinder, be certain to maintain proper wire routing. A two pin connector at the base of the steering column connects the ignition lock cylinder pigtail connector to the vehicle wiring harness. This connector is used for diagnostic purposes also.
