Theft Deterrent Module
The theft deterrent module contains the logic of the PASS-Key II. These are some of its inputs and outputs:^ Ignition input: turns on the theft deterrent module, reading the resistor pellet for a valid code.
^ Key detection circuit input: used to read the resistor pellet code.
^ Start enable output: Enables the theft deterrent relay, thus enabling or disabling the starter circuit.
^ Fuel enable signal output: sends a password to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to either enable or disable fuel delivery to the engine.
^ SECURITY indicator control output: causes the indicator to turn ON, OFF, or flash.
