Spare Ignition Key Available

TOOLS REQUIRED:
J 35628-A VATS/PASS Interrogator Tester

Use the J 35628 interrogator, or equivalent, to determine the proper value (or code) of the ignition key resistor pellet.
1. Insert the customer's spare ignition key into the key code reader on the J 35628 interrogator.
2. Tom on the J 35628 interrogator.
3. A number from 1 to 15 will appear in the window of the J 35628 interrogator. This number is the resistor pellet code of the ignition key.
4. Cut a new ignition key with the resistor pellet code identified with the J 35628 interrogator.
5. Start the engine using the new ignition key to verify that the ignition key is correct both mechanically and electrically.
