Illuminated Entry

When the vehicle doors are unlocked by a keyless entry transmitter (if equipped), the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) turns on the courtesy lights (by grounding circuit 49) for 40 seconds (+/- 4 seconds). Then, the headlamp switch initiates the sustained interior lighting feature.

When the doors are locked by a key less entry transmitter, the RCDLR turns on the courtesy lights (by grounding circuit 49) for 2 seconds. This serves the purpose of confirming a remote door locking.
