Cranking Circuit

The cranking circuit consists of the battery, starter motor, ignition switch, and related wiring. Only the starter motor will be covered here. For additional cranking system diagnosis refer to Starter and Charging System.

The 3100 L82 uses the PG260 F1 starter motor. The 3800 L36 uses the PG260 F2 starter motor. These starter motors are not serviceable and should be replaced as assemblies only.
