Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection

1. Run wiper arm assemblies (11) to mid-wipe position.
2. Remove wiper blade assemblies from wiper arm assemblies (11).
3. Attach a scale (K) to wiper arm and measure the force required to lift wiper aim assembly perpendicular to windshield (L) to normal working height (height with blade assembly attached).
4. If the force required is not within the specifications given below, the wiper arm assembly should be replaced.

Tip Pressure:
Newtons - 8.3-10.1
(Ounces - 29.9-36.3)
