Fender: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURENOTE: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
Fender Replacement: Front - Removal Procedure:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
^ The six bolts
^ The eight plastic retainers
^ The wheelhouse panel (1)
Fender Replacement: Front - Removal Procedure:
3. Remove the front park/turn signal lamp assembly mounting screw (1).
4. Remove the park/turn signal lamp assembly (2) from the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the park/turn signal lamp electrical connector.
Fender Replacement: Front - Removal Procedure:
6. Remove the front bumper fascia.
7. Remove the fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.

8. Remove the two fender to door jamb (3) bolts.

9. Remove the top four fender (1) bolts.
Fender Replacement: Front - Removal Procedure:
10. Remove the two bolts (2) and one nut (3) at the front of the fender.
11. Remove the fender (1) from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
1. Install the tender (1) to the vehicle. Secure with the two bolts (2) and one nut (3).
Tighten
Tighten the fender bolts and nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
2. Install the top four fender (1) bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the top fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
3. Install the two door jamb (3) to fender bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the door jamb to fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
4. Install the fender (1)10 rocker panel bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the fender to rocker panel bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
5. Install the front bumper fascia.
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
6. Connect the front park/turn signal lamp connector.
7. Install the park/turn signal lamp assembly (2) to the vehicle. Secure the assembly with the mounting screw.
Fender Replacement: Front - Installation Procedure:
8. Install the wheelhouse panel (1) to the vehicle. Secure the panel with the six bolts and the eight plastic retainers.
Tighten
Tighten the wheelhouse panel bolts to 10 N.m (89 bin).
