Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the IP and instrument lamp dimmer switch knob (1).
3. Remove the P lamp dimmer switch nut (2) from the IP lamp dimmer switch.




4. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the four clips around the lamp dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (2).




5. Disconnect the dimmer switch electrical connector (2).
6. Remove the dimmer switch from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the IP lamp dimmer switch to the lamp dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (3). Secure the dimmer switch with the retaining nut.

Tighten
Tighten the switch retaining nut to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).

2. Connect the dimmer switch electrical connector (2).
3. Install the dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (3) to the I/P.




4. Install the lamp dimmer switch knob (1) to the dimmer switch.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
