Knee Bolster Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable
2. Remove the left body hinge pillar trim panel.
3. Remove the two bolts (3) that secure the IP drivers knee bolster trim (1). Position the trim as necessary to gain access to the IP drivers knee bolster reinforcement.




4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
^ The two bolts that secure the reinforcement
^ The P drivers knee bolster reinforcement (1)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the IP drivers knee bolster reinforcement (1) to the IP. Secure the reinforcement with the two bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the knee bolster reinforcement bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




2. Install the IP drivers knee bolster trim (1) to the IP assembly. Secure the trim with the two bolts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the knee bolster trim bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install the left body hinge pillar trim panel.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
