Headlamp Assembly Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb. Leave the lamp switch off until the bulb change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Do not drop or scratch the bulb.
^ Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
^ Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose of it properly.
^ Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children


1. Open the hood.




2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the headlamp.




4. Pull the headlamp forward.
5. Disconnect the headlamp electrical connector (2).
6. Remove the headlamp (3) from the vehicle.
7 Remove the headlamp bulb rubber insulator (1), if necessary.




8. Open the headlamp bulb retainer (1), if necessary.
9. Remove the headlamp bulb (2) from the headlamp (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the headlamp bulb (2) to the headlamp (3), if removed.
2. Close the headlamp bulb retainer (1), if removed.




3. Install the headlamp bulb rubber insulator (1), if removed.
4. Connect the headlamp bulb electrical connector (2).
5. Install the headlamp (3) into its correct position.




6. Secure the headlamp with the two bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp mounting bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Connect the negative battery cable.
8. Aim the headlamps. Headlamp Aiming.
9. Close the hood.
