ASR Indicator
The Accelerated Slip Regulation (ASR) system limits wheel spin if the ASR senses that one or both of the rear wheels begin to lose traction. When this happens, the ASR system works the rear brakes and reduces engine power in order to limit wheel spin. The ASR indicator lamp will come on if one of the following conditions exist:^ There is a system failure.
^ The driver turns off the system.
^ The engine is starting.
When the ignition switch is turned to the crank position the following lamps will come on:
^ ABS INOP
^ ASR
^ TCS OFF
These lights will remain on if the switch is held in the crank position.
