A rolling code is incorporated into the remote control door lock receiver. The rolling code prevents the transmitter signal from the following activities:.
^ Being recorded
^ Being retransmitted to unlock the doors

Each time the transmitter is used, the remote control door lock receiver moves the rolling code to the next code. If the transmitter activates outside the range of the remote control door lock receiver more than 256 times, the transmitter will no longer synchronize with the receiver's rolling code. The transmitter will not function until the transmitter has been resynchronized with the remote control door lock receiver. In order to resynchronize the receiver and the transmitter, the operator must hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for approximately 10 seconds while within the receiver's signal reception range. This cycles the locks in order to notify the operator that the system meets both of the following conditions:
^ The system is functional.
^ The system is operational.
