Headlamp Bezel Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the headlamp wiring harness electrical connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
3. Remove the rear screw attaching the headlamp bezel.
4. Raise the appropriate headlamp manually. Rotate the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob counterclockwise to raise the headlamp.




5. Remove the screws attaching the sides of the headlamp bezel.

IMPORTANT: The headlamp bezel has a tab (3) which fits into a retaining clip (2) on the underside of the headlamp opening door (1). Observe caution when separating the parts.

6. Grasp the rear sides of the bezel and pry them out slightly, then carefully begin to raise the rear sides and pull the bezel away from the headlamp opening door.

Slowly remove the bezel to release the bezel tab (3) from the retaining clip (2) on the underside of the headlamp opening door (1).

7. Remove the headlamp bezel from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The headlamp bezel has a tab (3) which fits into a retaining clip (2) on the underside of the headlamp opening door (1). Observe caution when joining the parts.




1. Grasp the rear sides of the bezel and pry them out slightly, carefully begin to lower the front edge of the bezel into position on the headlamp assembly, then lower the sides into position and simultaneously CAREFULLY insert the bezel tab (3) into the retaining clip (2) on the underside of the headlamp opening door.


NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the screws attaching the side of the headlamp bezel.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp bezel retaining screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).




3. Connect the headlamp wiring harness electrical connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.
4. Lower the headlamp manually. Rotate the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob clockwise to lower the headlamp.
5. Install the rear screw attaching the bezel.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp bezel retaining screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

6. Close the hood.
