Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect and plug the transmission oil cooler lines at the rear of the engine block on the right hand side of the engine, if equipped.
3. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the retaining clip at the rear of the engine block on the right side of the engine, if equipped.
4. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the engine oil level sensor.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the engine oil level sensor.
- Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 13 Nm (15 inch lbs.).
2. Connector the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.
3. Unplug and connect and the transmission oil cooler lines at the rear of the engine block on the right hand side of the engine, if equipped.
4. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines to the retaining clip at the rear of the engine block on the right side of the engine, if equipped.
5. Lower the vehicle.
