Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
2. Carefully remove the air intake duct from the throttle body (1).
3. Loosen the 4 screws holding the housing cover in place.
4. Remove the housing cover and air cleaner element.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly hold down bolts (2).
6. Remove the air cleaner assembly cover from vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the air cleaner assembly into the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly hold down bolt next to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner assembly cover to chassis bolts (2) between 8-12 N.m (70 - 110 lb in).

3. Reinstall the air cleaner element and housing cover.
4. Install the air cleaner element and air cleaner element housing.
5. Carefully install the air intake duct to the throttle body (1).
6. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
