Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
2. Drain fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure.
3. Remove the fuel tank.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor.
5. Remove the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor from modular fuel sender.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor to modular fuel sender.
2. Connect the electrical connector to fuel tank vapor pressure sensor.
3. Reinstall the fuel tank.
4. Refill tank and reinstall fuel fill cap.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Inspect for fuel leaks.
6.1. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
6.2. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
6.3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
6.4. Check for fuel leaks.
