Theft Deterrent Module

The theft deterrent module contains the logic of the PASS-Key II. The following are some of the theft deterrent module's inputs and outputs:
- The ignition input
The ignition input turns on the theft deterrent module and reads the resistor pellet for a valid code.
- The key detection circuit input
The key detection circuit input reads the resistor pellet code.
- The start enable output
The start enable output enables the theft deterrent relay, which enables or disables the starter circuit.
- The fuel enable signal output
The fuel enable signal output sends a password to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to either enable or disable fuel delivery to the engine.
- The SECURITY indicator control output The SECURITY indicator control output causes the indicator to turn ON, turn OFF, or flash.
