Lock Operation
When pressing the LOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter, the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) receives a signal with a valid Vehicle Access Code (VAC). Then, the RCDLR locks all the doors. In addition, the headlamp switch receives a lock signal through circuit 49 turning ON the courtesy lights for two seconds. This serves to indicate that the doors have been locked. The RCDLR supplies voltage to the coil of the door lock relay. The door lock relay is energized and voltage is supplied to the door lock actuators. Ground for the driver's door lock actuator is provided by RCDLR circuit 694 through internal contacts. Ground for the other door lock actuator(s) is provided through the contacts of the unlock relay of the door lock relay. All door lock actuators run to lock all doors.
