Unlock Operation
The unlock function is separated into two operations. The operation depends on how the UNLOCK button is pressed on the keyless entry transmitter:^ When the UNLOCK button is pressed once, the driver's side door is unlocked.
^ When the UNLOCK button is pressed again within 5 seconds, all of the doors are unlocked.
The unlock function sequence occurs when the following conditions exist:
^ The UNLOCK button is pressed once on the keyless entry transmitter.
^ The RCDLR receives a signal with a valid VAC.
The RCDLR will supply voltage to the driver's door lock actuator through CKT 694. The activator is grounded through the contacts of the door lock relay in the door lock relay. The driver's door lock actuator runs to unlock the driver's side door.
The following actions will occur when the UNLOCK button on the transmitter is pressed twice:
1. The RCDLR activates the door unlock output at CKT 194.
2. The RCDLR supplies voltage to the coil of the unlock relay in the door lock relay.
3. The unlock relay is energized. The unlock relay closes its contacts.
4. Voltage is supplied to all of the door lock actuators except for the driver's side door.
5. The actuators are grounded through the ground contacts of the door lock relay.
6. The actuators run to unlock the doors.
