A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector.
3. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure switch. Use a second wrench to hold the switch mount to avoid bending the liquid line.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

IMPORTANT:
^ Use new O-ring lubricated with 525 Viscosity mineral oil.
^ Hold the A/C refrigerant pressure switch mount with an open end wrench to avoid bending the liquid line.

1. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure switch.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure switch to 10 N.m (7.0 lb ft).

2. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector.
3. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
4. Operate the A/C system and check for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing.
