Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor (KS):

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the air intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector (2).
3. Remove the KS (1) from the engine block.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice

1. Install the KS (1) to the engine block.

Tighten
Tighten the KS to the engine block to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).

2. Connect the KS electrical connector (2).
3. Install the air intake manifold.
